ThreadLedger is operated by Elizabeth Esotor ("we", "us", "our"). We act as the data controller for personal information you provide when using the ThreadLedger application and website ("the Service"). You can contact us at Consultelizanuel@gmail.com.

• Account data — name, email address, login credentials.
• Business data you enter — company details, customers, invoices, expenses, products, and reports.
• Support communications — messages you send to our support email.
• Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, basic telemetry for security and reliability.
• Cookies — strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management.

Payment card details are never collected or stored by us. They are handled directly by our payment provider, Paddle (see section 5).

3. Why we use your data

• To create your account and provide the Service (legal basis: performance of a contract).
• To process subscriptions and provide customer support (contract, legitimate interests).
• To secure the Service, detect fraud, and maintain reliability (legitimate interests).
• To comply with legal and tax obligations (legal obligation).
• To send transactional emails about your account (contract).

4. Legal basis

We rely on (a) performance of a contract with you, (b) our legitimate interests in running and securing the Service, (c) compliance with legal obligations, and (d) your consent where required.

5. Who we share your data with

• Paddle — our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payments, subscription management, invoicing, refunds, and sales-tax compliance. See Paddle's privacy notice.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers who store and serve the Service on our behalf.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) when strictly necessary.
• Authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain certain records (e.g. invoices) for legal or tax purposes.

7. Your rights

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level database security, to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to maintain industry-standard safeguards.
